Tom Florence would have enjoyed receiving his invitation to the Class of '63 reunion. I am sad to tell you that Tom passed away on June 13, 2016 after an 18 month struggle with pleural mesothelioma. Please let the appropriate committee members know to remove his name from your mailing list.

Tom Florence was part of small committee that “welcomed” me into the class of 1963 way back when we were part of the same 6th grade class at Sherman Elementary School in the heart of East Millcreek. We have been friends ever since. Tom always seemed full of take-charge energy. That was the case when I saw him last a few years ago. I’d hoped we would have the opportunity to hear him sing and play at the forthcoming annual dinner August 6th. Alas, that will not be the case. But, I am sure we will raise a glass and sing a song in his honor. He was a good man.

Tom was a very friendly guy. Back in the day, I considered him a very nice person. Always smiling. I can see him in my mind's eye. He will be missed by many, no doubt. BB, Seattle, WA.
