In Memory

Michael Shipp

Floyd Michael Shipp :  Michael Shipp "Papa" was born September 9, 1945 and passed away November 4, 2006 from pancreatic cancer. Born in Glendale, California to Floyd and Phyllis Shipp, he moved to Utah when he was three years old. Mike was a successful business owner and salesman and was well respected in the industry. He had a passion for the Anasazi Indians and spent much of his time wandering through their ruins and researching the culture. When his girls were growing up he spent a lot of his time camping and playing in the sand at "The Sand Dunes" and Lake Powell. "Papa" loved his 11 grandchildren with all of his heart and was a huge influence on their lives. We will all miss him greatly and know he is with our sweet Amy smiling down on us. Mike is survived by his sons, Michael Haslam, Troy Rivera; daughters, Kris Shipp (Dave), Penny Marinos (Bill), Kacey Gunderman (Todd); and 11 beautiful grandchildren. A special thanks to James  Nell for the donation.
